I took up quilting after I graduated from Bath Spa University where I studied Creative Arts: art & textiles. Since then my life has changed and I am a ‘quilter’ through and through.
I adore antique and vintage quilts and have created many projects using the infamous Log Cabin block. My quilt, ‘Log Cabin Craziness’ won first prize at the International Festival of Quilts 2015 in the Guild section and since then I have experimented with many different ideas and concepts. In my day-job as a secondary school art teacher, I am lucky enough to be surrounded by ever evolving creative students and new ideas, of which have led me to explore and develop my own practice.
I am an active member of many local groups and love meeting new people and sharing ideas and beautiful quilts! In the autumn of 2015 I volunteered as Young Quilting Co-ordinator for Region 5, and I run workshops for young quilters at regional days.
I am available to visit local groups as a speaker or to run evening or full-day workshops. For more information contact me via the Quilters Guild box below.
